First Past The Post

Peter Beattie
Queensland has just held a state election and the Labor Party, headed by Peter Beattie, has been re-elected for a record fourth term.

The previous term of government was problematic for the incumbent with major issues surrounding electricity, health and water dogging the Premier.

On September 9, the Government was returned the more or less than same majority.

So why couldn't the Opposition make a dent?

It all comes down to delivering a consistent message and a positive 'user experience' - a lesson that all business owners need to learn.

Even organisations that people like to grumble about - think major corporations like banks - still win and keep customers because their brand is well managed and the experience, if not ideal, is consistent.

To be first among equals, your audience needs to feel certain what it is going to get at the cash register or the ballot box.
